Moving Meditation and Positive Energy

禪修是我的良藥:移動我的能量 · Meditation is My Medicine

本週重點

Overview

💬 English Goal

英文目標

Use stronger feeling words — wonderful and excellent — instead of plain “good.” Pair words with movement: heart, mind, energy. Build the pattern “My ___ felt wonderful/excellent.” and say “I am shaping my energy.”

使用更有力的感受詞——wonderful(很棒的)和 excellent(極好的)——來取代平淡的「good」。把詞和動作搭配:heart(心)、mind(頭腦)、energy(能量)。建立句型「My ___ felt wonderful/excellent.(我的 ___ 感覺很棒/極好。)」並說出「I am shaping my energy.(我正在塑造我的能量。)」

🪷 Spiritual Goal

佛學/心靈目標

Understand meditation as medicine — an active way to heal the mind. Learn moving meditation through Tai-Chi-style gestures, and take responsibility for your own peace (self-reliance · 自依止).

理解禪修就是良藥(meditation as medicine)——一種主動療癒心的方式。透過太極式的動作學習動禪(moving meditation),並為自己的平靜負起責任(responsibility,自依止)。

句型 Sentence Patterns

Key Patterns
Pattern 1 · Describing a feeling with stronger words
My ___ felt wonderful / excellent.

My mind felt excellent after school today. My mind felt excellent after school today.(今天放學後我的頭腦感覺極好。)

My energy was wonderful when I helped my mom. My energy was wonderful when I helped my mom.(我幫媽媽的時候,我的能量很棒。)

My heart felt wonderful after I meditated. My heart felt wonderful after I meditated.(禪修之後我的心感覺很棒。)

Pattern 2 · Moving your energy
I am shaping my energy.

I am shaping my energy with my hands. I am shaping my energy with my hands.(我正在用雙手塑造我的能量。)

I move slowly, like Tai Chi, to feel calm. I move slowly, like Tai Chi, to feel calm.(我像打太極一樣慢慢移動,讓自己感覺平靜。)

Pattern 3 · Taking responsibility
I am responsible for my ___.

I am responsible for my peace. I am responsible for my peace.(我為自己的平靜負責。)

I will meditate, because it is my medicine. I will meditate, because it is my medicine.(我會禪修,因為它是我的良藥。)

✏️ Grammar Focus · “Good,” “better,” and richer words

Instead of always saying good, choose a stronger word. Excellent = super good. Wonderful = full of wonder and joy. Use them after the verb felt or was: My mind felt excellent. · My energy was wonderful. Rich words help you share exactly how you feel.

與其老是說 good(好),選一個更有力的字吧。Excellent = 超級好。Wonderful = 充滿驚奇和喜悅。把它們放在動詞 felt(感覺)或 was(是)後面:My mind felt excellent.(我的頭腦感覺極好。)、My energy was wonderful.(我的能量很棒。)豐富的詞彙能幫你精準地分享自己的感受。

故事 The Story

Story

Imagine your mind is like a glass of muddy water (混濁的水). When you shake it, you cannot see through it — that is a busy, worried mind. But if you hold it still, or move it very slowly, the mud settles to the bottom and the water becomes clear again.

想像你的頭腦像一杯混濁的泥水(混濁的水)。當你搖晃它,你沒辦法看穿它——那是一個忙碌、煩惱的心。但如果你把它靜靜放著,或非常緩慢地移動它,泥沙就會沉到底部,水又變得清澈。

This week we practice moving meditation. Like gentle Tai Chi (太極), we put a hand on the heart, a hand on the mind (the head), and we draw slow circles around our body to feel the energy. We are not just sitting — we are shaping our energy with our hands, and shaping a little more peace in the room.

這週我們練習動禪(moving meditation)。就像溫和的太極(Tai Chi,太極),我們把一隻手放在心(heart)上,一隻手放在頭腦(mind,頭部)上,然後在身體周圍慢慢畫圓,去感受那股能量(energy)。我們不只是坐著——我們正在用雙手塑造(shaping)我們的能量,也在這個空間裡塑造出多一點點的平靜。

Best of all, this medicine belongs to you. No one else can make your heart calm — that is your own responsibility. When you choose to breathe, to move slowly, and to say “I am responsible for my peace,” you become your own gentle doctor.

最棒的是,這帖良藥屬於你自己。沒有別人能讓你的心平靜下來——那是你自己的責任(responsibility)。當你選擇呼吸、選擇慢慢移動,並說出「I am responsible for my peace.(我為自己的平靜負責。)」你就成了自己溫柔的醫生。

🤔 Check your understanding

  • Why is meditation like medicine? 為什麼禪修像藥?
  • How can you “move” your energy like Tai Chi? 你怎麼像太極一樣「移動」能量?
  • Who is responsible for your peace? 誰要為你的平靜負責?

佛法小品 The Principle

Principle

When your body is sick, you take medicine. Teacher Dom reminds us that when the mind feels “foggy” or “crazy,” we have our own medicine too — meditation. And meditation does not have to be still: we can move our energy.

身體生病時,你會吃藥。Dom 老師提醒我們,當心覺得「霧霧的」或「亂糟糟」的時候,我們也有自己的良藥——禪修。而禪修不一定要靜止不動:我們也可以讓能量動起來。

🌟 You shape your own energy 你形塑自己的能量

In Buddhism this is called self-reliance (自依止): peace and awakening are cultivated by your own practice, not handed to you by someone else. Your inner state is not trapped inside you — it radiates outward and changes the room around you. So when you shape calm, positive energy with slow, mindful movement, you give a gift of peace to everyone near you.

在佛教裡,這叫做自依止(self-reliance,自依止):平靜與覺醒是靠你自己的修行培養出來的,不是別人遞給你的。你的內在狀態並沒有被困在你裡面——它會向外散發,改變你周遭的空間。所以當你用緩慢、正念的動作塑造出平靜、正向的能量,你就把一份平安的禮物送給了身邊的每一個人。
